HPC aggregates the compute power of many nodes to deliver performance far beyond a typical desktop — enabling machine learning, data mining, weather forecasting, computational chemistry and molecular dynamics at scale.
UNAM's High Performance Computing facility is hosted by the Virtual Institute of Scientific Computing and Artificial Intelligence (VISCAI). The facility comprises two compute racks and a dedicated data storage rack, fronted by a single login node.
Usage of the UNAM HPC facilities is free for UNAM researchers, students, and approved partner institutions. In return, we ask that any publication resulting from work done on the cluster include the acknowledgement below.
This research made use of the University of Namibia HPC resource hosted by the Virtual Institute for Scientific Computing and Artificial Intelligence (VISCAI).
Four independent systems make up the cluster today.
