Overview of the Conference
Background and History
In the past, the then Faculty of Science and Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Resources organized Annual Research Conferences since 2013 and 2016, respectively. The undergraduate 4th-year research students, masters, doctorate students, university staff, international presenters attended these conferences. Over 200 research papers have been presented by young Namibian researchers in all fields of science and published, for instance, in the International Science and Technology Journal of Namibia (ISTJN). Following the merging of Agriculture, Engineering and Natural Science as one faculty in 2021, a new joint conference on Agriculture, Engineering and Natural Science was initiated.
Aims
The University of Namibia is committed to developing scientific skills, promoting an interdisciplinary research environment, and developing advanced research and technology skills in Namibia to solve contemporary problems in an environment of change, especially during & post Covid-19 pandemics. The conference aims to provide a multidisciplinary platform in Agriculture, Engineering, and Natural Sciences. UNAM students, staff, and local and international collaborators will present their achievements and innovative ideas. At the same time, this conference provides opportunities to discuss new research concepts, establish collaborations and showcase the analytical facilities at UNAM laboratories.
